Kids table

We were on a tight budget for Christmas this year, so I did a little DIYing for gifts for the kids. 

 Found this cute wood kid table and 2 chairs on KSL for $25. SCORE!! 

So I spent many nap times out side sanding. 

This is what I ended up with. It took forever to figure out what I was going to do with it. 

I bought a dark stain and stained the table. I ended up making the top a magnetic chalk board too. But the red still showed through, but I think it doesn't look too bad.

The chairs, still not too thrilled about because they don't really go with the table, but I spent a lot of work on them so I just left them. I had the paint left over from a wall I did and I thought it was gender neutral. I also decided to paint in chalk paint their first letter of their names. 

It was from Santa, but none the less was a big hit Christmas morning!
